LEVEMIR is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults and children with diabetes mellitus. Important Limitations of Use: LEVEMIR is not recommended for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis. Intravenous rapid-acting or short-acting insulin is the preferred treatment for this condition.
